역사

Joukowsky Institute는 2004년에 Artemis Joukowsky와 Martha Sharp Joukowsky로부터 8자리의 선물을 받고 설립되었다. 아르테미스는 마사가 구세계 고고학 및 미술학 교수로 재직하는 동안 이전에 이 대학의 총리로 재직했었다.[3][4]

이 연구소는 1981년 주코우스키스의 자금 지원을 받아 사용할 수 있도록 개조한 시설인 워터맨 상트(Waterman St) 70개소에서 시작되었다.[10] 2006년부터 브라운스 메인 그린에 있는 로드아일랜드 홀은 연구소에서 사용할 수 있도록 대대적으로 개조되었다.[11] Anmahian Winton Architects가 이끄는 이 빌딩은 총 1200만 달러의 비용이 들었다. 이 빌딩은 2009년 9월에 문을 열었다.[12][13]
