잼프는 모바일 기기 관리 시스템인 잼프 프로(구 더 캐스퍼 스위트)를 개발한 것으로 가장 잘 알려진 소프트웨어 회사다.[1]

역사

미니애폴리스에 본사를 둔 잼프 소프트웨어는 위스콘신 주 에우 클레어에서 잭 할름스타드, 크리스토퍼 톤, 칩 피어슨에[2] 의해 설립되었으며 2002년에 캐스퍼 스위트를 출시했다.[3]더 큰 환경에서의 애플의 성장은 계속되었고 Jamf는 애플 기기를 기업 환경에서 작동하도록 하는 도구를 개발했다.[4]Jamf는 2008년에 Summit Partners로부터 3,000만 달러의 투자를 받았다.[5]

2015년에는 딘 헤거가 CEO로 채용되어 이전에 이러한 업무를 분담했던 핼름스타드와 피어슨의 후임으로 임명되었다.[6]캐스퍼 스위트는 창사 후 10여 년이 지난 2017년 잼프 프로로 브랜드가 바뀌었다.[7]비스타에쿼티파트너스는 2017년 12월 잼프 주식의 과반수를 취득했다.[8]잼프는 2018년과 2019년에 과수원 및 그로브,[9] 줄루데스크[10], 디지타시큐리티 등 3개 회사를 인수해 제품 포트폴리오를 아이덴티티와 인증 관리, 교육용 MDM, 사용자 행동 분석을 통해 Mac용으로 구축된 엔드포인트 보안 등으로 확대했다.[11]잼프는 2020년 7월 나스닥 주식시장에서 기업공개(IPO)에 성공해 4억6800만달러(약 460억원)를 조달하고 회사 가치를 46억달러(약 4조6000억원)로 평가했다.[12]2021년 5월 잼프는 제로 트러스트 소프트웨어 벤더 완데라를 4억 달러에 인수했다.[13]

IBM은 2015년에 Jamf Pro를 그들의 Mac을 관리하도록 선택했다.[14]

Microsoft Intune과의 통합

잼프는 마이크로소프트와 파트너십을 맺고 잼프 프로가 인투네와 소통할 수 있도록 했다.[15]이 파트너십은 마이크로소프트 Azure Active Directory와 마이크로소프트 Intune을 MacOS로 확장시켰다.[16]2020년에는 iOS 기기 컴플라이언스를 포함하도록 파트너십이 다시 확대되었다.[17]
