이오페는 달 저편에 있는 달 충돌 분화구다.성벽이 있는 평야 헤르츠스프룽의 남쪽에 놓여 있으며, 프리드먼의 남서쪽 외곽 테두리에 붙어 있다.단지 짧은 지형이 이오페를 벨로폴스키와 남동쪽으로 갈라놓는다.
이것은 바깥 테두리가 잘 정립되어 있고 테라스식 내벽이 있는 비교적 젊은 분화구다.그럼에도 불구하고 외부 림은 후속 충격으로 표시되었다.Ioffe가 Fridman과 결합되는 테두리 가장자리를 따라 더 작은 분화구가 놓여 있다.북서쪽 테두리를 따라 작은 분화구도 있다.내부 바닥은 비교적 평탄한 편인데, 중간지점 바로 동쪽에서 남서쪽 내벽까지 이어지는 낮고 울퉁불퉁한 재료의 능선을 제외하면 말이다.내부는 눈에 띄는 영향이 없다.
그것은 유명한 러시아/소비에트 과학자인 아브람 이오페의 이름을 따서 지어졌다.
