독립노동그룹

Independent Labor Group

인디펜던트 노동 그룹은 1959년부터 1977년까지 뉴사우스웨일스 입법회의 소수 오스트레일리아 정치 그룹이었다.당시 당 정책이었던 입법회 폐지에 반대표를 던진 노동당의 다수 MLC가 당에서 제명되면서 이 단체가 등장했다.[1]

1959년 8개의 노동 MLC가 제명되었고, 그들은 1961년 8월 22일 토마스 글리슨을 그들의 지도자로 선출하면서 공식적으로 독립 노동 그룹으로 구성되었다.그들은 1960년대 초반 내내 힘의 균형을 유지했고, 연합이 아멜리아 라이게이트의 선거를 도왔던 1961년에는 10명으로 늘어났다.[2]그러나 1960년대 후반부터 그룹의 세력이 줄어들기 시작했다.아멜리아 라이게이트는 1966년 노동당에 다시 입당했고 앤 프레스는 1967년 자유당에 입당했다.마지막 독립 노동 대표인 시릴 카힐은 1977년에 사망했다.[1]
