조안나는 주 수도 아델라이드에서 남동쪽으로 약 325km(202마일)[1][4] 떨어진 호주의 석회암 코스트 지역에 위치한 호주 사우스 오스트레일리아 주에 있는 지역이다.

조안나는 개인 소분부로 시작했다.경계는 2001년 4월 당시 남호주 주지사 도미니크 댈리의 딸 이름을 따서 1862년 이름을 딴 '조안나의 백'의 지적 단위에서 유래한 '장기 확립된 이름'을 위해 만들어졌다.[1][9][10]

지역 내 토지 이용의 대부분은 1차 생산이다.이 지역은 나라코르테 동굴 국립공원으로 보존을 목적으로 선포된 땅을 포함한다.[1][11]
