건디
Gundy
건디는 오스트레일리아 뉴사우스웨일스의 헌터 지역에 있는 지역이다.[3]이 지역은 어퍼 헌터 샤이어 지방정부 지역과 주 수도 시드니에서 북쪽으로 269km(167mi) 떨어진 페이지 강에 있다.[6]2011년 인구조사에서 건디는 188명의 인구를 가지고 있었다.[2]
역사
군디의 유럽 정착촌은 1826년 존 스튜어트에게 1800년대 초 어퍼 헌터 강을 조사한 토지 보조금으로 시작되었다.이 마을은 원래 근처에 있는 재산의 이름인 벨뷰로 알려져 있었다.그것은 길을 따라 더 멀리 여관을 경영한 건디 부인에게서 현재의 이름을 얻었다.이 마을은 "처음에는 스콘에서 더 멀리 페이지와 이시스 강에 위치한 역으로 이동하는 팀들의 경유지 역할을 했다"[7]고 전했다.
근처에서 금이 발견되면서 건디는 여관과 교회가 건설된 광부들의 서비스 센터로 발전했다.1881년까지 그 마을은 60명의 인구를 가지고 있었고 시설에는 학교, 우체국, 가게가 포함되어 있었다.[7]
동네 술집인 링가 롱가 호텔과 건디 종합상점은 마을에서 유일한 소매업이다.이 종합 상점은 2012년 9월 폐점한 뒤 새 주인이 사들였다.[8]매년 새해 전야에 로데오가 열린다.[7]
