Freedom Scientific

프리덤사이언티픽은 시력이 낮고 실명하는 컴퓨터 사용자를 위해 접근성 제품을 만드는 회사다. 그들이 만든 소프트웨어는 화면 확대, 화면 판독, 현대 컴퓨터에서의 재생 가능한 점자 디스플레이의 사용을 가능하게 한다.[1] 이 회사는 비스페로의 자회사로 플로리다 주 클리어워터에 본사를 두고 있다.[2]

역사

전직 오토바이 경주 선수인 테드 헨터는 자동차 사고로 인해 장님이 된 후 JAWS 스크린 리더를 개발했다.[3] Henter와 Bill Joyce는 1987년 St.에 Henter-Joyce를 설립했다. 플로리다 주 페테르부르크, JAWS의 MS-DOS 버전과 이후 마이크로소프트 윈도 버전을 생산하고 있다. Henter-Joyce는 2000년에 Arkenstone과 Blazie Engineering과 합병하여 Freedom Scientific을 설립했다.[4]
