에타둔나는 수도 애들레이드에서 북쪽으로 약 684km(425마일), 마리 마을에서 북동쪽으로 약 108km(67마일) 떨어진 오스트레일리아 남호주 주에 있는 지역이다.[1]

스튜어트 주의 주 선거구인 그레이 연방분부, 사우스오스트레일리아 주의 목회 미법인 지역, 주 극북 지역 내에 위치한다.[1][4][5][6]

에타둔나는 "집섬 사구가 있는 소금 호수, 그리고 통로와 사구가 있는 주변 평야로 이루어진 큰 플레이아 콤플렉스로 등급 매겨져 있는 거대한 모래밭"으로 묘사되는 풍경으로 구성되어 있다.[8]

버즈빌 트랙은 남쪽에서 북으로, 쿠퍼 크릭의 수로는 북쪽 끝을 가로질러 동쪽에서 서쪽으로 통과한다.쿠퍼 크릭 워터코스와 관련된 특징으로는 그 지역의 남동쪽 구석에 위치한 그레고리 호수의 북쪽 끝부분이 있다.[1][9][10]

지역 내 주요 토지 이용은 일차적인 생산과 보존이며, 전자는 소의 방목과 관련이 있고 후자는 지역 동쪽의 쿤기호 습지 제도에 관한 것이다.[1][2][11]

에타둔나는 2016년 8월 호주 인구조사 당시 조사된 다수의 인접지역과 공유된 지역 내에 위치해 있으며, 63명의 인구를 가지고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.[3][a]

역사

이 지역 이름은 2013년 4월 26일 에타둔나 역이라는 목회자 임대에서 유래한 '오래 전부터 확립된 지역명'과 관련하여 관보에 게재되었다.[1][12]
