장어 강은 유럽이 정착할 당시 인디아나의 북부 장어 강을 따라 살았던 아메리카 원주민 부족이다.그들은 종종 위아, 판키쇼, 포키아스와 혼동될 뿐만 아니라 마이애미 인디언의 일부로 분류되기도 했다.

인디애나주의 장어 강 부족에 대한 출처 책이 마이크 플로이드에 의해 편집되고 출판되었다.[1]

최근 인디아나의 장어 강 부족이라고 불리는 그룹이 추장으로 선출된 플로이드에 의해 부활했다.그들은 2008년과 2009년에 모임을 가졌다.[2][3][4]2001년에는 PBS 시리즈 We Shall Leave에 Earl River Demp 멤버가 출연하였다.[5]
