역사
David Droga는 2006년 뉴욕에서 Droga5를 설립했다. 드로가는 어머니가 자신의 옷에 꿰매던 꼬리표를 따서 소속사 이름을 지었다고 한다(그는 6명의 아이들 중 다섯 번째 아이고 어머니는 출생 순서에 따라 자녀들의 옷에 꼬리표를 달았다).[2]
2008년 드로가5는 데이비드 드로가(David Droga)의 모국인 호주에 제2의 사무소를 열었고, 이 사무소는 드로가5가 유럽시장과 2013년 문을 연 런던사무소로 초점을 돌리면서 2015년[3] 9월 문을 닫았다.[4]
2013년 7월 윌리엄 모리스 엔데버(William Morris Endership)는 드로가5에 상당한 소수민족 투자를 발표했다. 뉴욕타임스에 따르면 "양사 집행자들은 이번 파트너십을 통해 양사의 중요한 광고와 엔터테인먼트 자원을 결합해 브랜드 지원 콘텐츠를 더 많이 만들 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다.[5] 드로가5의 뉴욕 사무소는 2014년 월가로 이전했다.[6][7]
2019년 4월 액센츄어 인터랙티브에 드로가5의 매각이 발표되었다. WME Dragon Holdings LLC는 2019년 3월 29일 액센츄어 인터렉티브에 49%의 지분을 2억 3천 3백만 달러에 매각하기로 합의했다. 이는 엔데버 그룹 홀딩스 IPO에서 대주주로 지목된 데이비드5, LLC가 보유한 51%의 주식에 대해 2억4,250만 달러의 가치를 가정한 것이다.[8]
2021년 드로가5는 새로운 도쿄 사무소 개설을 발표하면서 브라질과 중국으로 확대할 계획이다.[9]
