딘 L. 캐머런(Dean L. Cameron, 1961년 1월 20일 출생)은 아이다호 보험부 국장이자 공화당 출신 아이다호 상원 의원이다.[1]

어린 시절과 경력

카메론은 1984년 릭스 대학에서 정치학 학사학위를 받았다.그는 루퍼트 추상회사에서 보험 판매원으로 일했고 현재 공동 소유주로 있으며, 주식회사 카메론 & 시몬스에서 고용되었다.

그는 1984년부터 1988년까지 공화당의 청년 공약수였다.그는 1988년부터 1990년까지 공화당 선거구 의원이었다.[1]

아이다호 상원

1991년 린 토미나가 상원의원은 아이다호 물 사용자 협회의 직위를 수락하기 위해 사임했다.입법구 24 중앙위원회는 빈자리를 메우기 위해 만나 세실 안드루스 주지사에게 3명의 이름을 보냈다.안드루스는 이후 카메론을 택해 토미나가의 남은 임기를 채웠다.

선거구 획정 후 1992년 카메론은 재선을 노렸고 경선에서 랠프 피터스 하원의원, 총선에서 민주당 제이슨 스톨도르프 의원의 도전을 받았다.1994년 공화당 예비선거에서 카메론은 해롤드 몰몬의 도전을 받았다.캐머런은 2002년과 2008년 민주당 도전자들을 쉽게 파견했고, 2010년 공화당 경선에서 몰몬을 다시 꺾었다.

2012년 캐머런은 재선을 신청해 2012년 공화당 예비선거에서 목장 주인 더그 피켓을 물리쳤다.

2015년 1월 14일 카메론은 아이다호 상원에서 사임하고 아이다호 보험국 국장에 임명되는 것을 받아들였다.
