달릿 역사의 달은 달릿이나 스케줄링된 카스트와 스케줄링된 부족의 역사에서 중요한 사람들과 사건들을 기억하는 한 가지 방법으로 매년 기념하는 것이다.[1][2] 전 세계 B의 추종자들에 의해 4월에 기념된다.R 암베드카르.[3][4] 이달 중에는 토론,[5] 스토리텔링,[6] 역사 프로젝트,[7] 언론 특별출판,[8] 미술작품 등이[9] 구성된다.[10][11]

역사

흑역사의 달에서 영감을 받아 2013년에 달릿 여성들로 구성된 젊은 그룹이 달릿 역사의 달을 시작했다.[12] 상하팔리 아루나는 달릿, 아디바시, 바후잔의 역사와 문화를 문서화하는 프로젝트를 시작했다.[13][14] 상하팔리 아루나와 디모지 사이다라라얀은 시카고에서 열린 Color of Forgivity 컨퍼런스에서 토론 도중 아이디어를 생각해냈다.[15][16]

의의

달리트는 인도에서 그러한 차별이 불법임에도 불구하고 카스트 때문에 차별을 받는다.[17][18][19] 주류 작가들이 인도 역사에서 달릿의 무지와 부재는 달릿 역사의 달 동안 논의된다.[20] 달릿이 직면한 문제들은 시민들에 의해 숙고되고 있다.[21]
