창간

코트 음료 회사는 1923년 폴란드 이민자인 솔로몬 코트가 아들 해리, 바니, 잭, 알버트와 함께 뉴욕 포트 체스터에서 설립한 회사다.퀘벡 주 몬트리올 출신의 옷장수 해리 펜서는 1952년 퀘벡에 코트 소다를 수입하기 시작했다.1955년, 펜서는 Cott 라벨에 대한 캐나다 권리를 획득하고 Cott Druments (Canada) Ltd를 설립하여 Cott 라인의 탄산음료를 병에 넣었다.1976년부터 1991년까지 Cott는 캐나다 전역과 다시 미국, 유럽으로 유통을 확대했다.[2]1969년에는 Cott Druments Ltd로, 1991년에는 Cott Corporation으로 명칭이 변경되었다.[3]

Cott는 2016년 1월 약 6,200만 달러에 캐나다 생수 및 커피 배달 서비스 제공업체인 Aquaterra 인수를 완료했다.[8]8개월 후, Cott는 약 4억 7천만 유로에 유럽의 물과 커피 배달업체인 Eden Springs와 프리미엄 커피 로스터 S&D Coffee and Tea를 약 3억 5천 5백만 달러에 인수했다.[9][10]
