Cordia platythyrsa is a species of flowering plant in the borage family, Boraginaceae, found in Africa and is native to Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.[2]나무는 높이 30m, 지름 1m 이상으로 자란다.[3]목재는 옅은 노란색에서 거의 흰색이며 가구 제작, 인테리어 소품, 가정용품, 카누, 악기 등에 주로 사용된다.밀도가 낮고(0.5g/cm3) 매우 부드러우며(몬닌 경도 1.3)[4] 해면성 섬유질 질감이 있다.
흔한 이름으로는 서아프리카 코르디아, 에베 또는 무쿠마리(카메룬, 가봉), 오모(니게리아), 트웬보아(가나) 등이 있다.
이 종은 IUCN 위험 종 목록에 의해 취약종으로 분류된다.[1]
