주상동물은 묘사적인 식물 이름이다.[1]Wettstein 시스템은 이 이름을 꽃식물의 순서에 사용했으며, 다음과 같은 할례를 받았다.

즉, 그것의 할례는 1981년판 크론퀴스트 시스템에서 사용된 것과 같은 말발레 주문과 동일하다.여기서 사용되는 APG II 시스템은 확장된 가족 말바과 센슈 라토에 있는 첫 번째 네 가족의 모든 식물을 포함한다.[2]
