달팽이관은 긴 테이퍼링 손잡이가 달린 작은 로마 수저였다.

역사

달팽이관은 테트포드와[1] 홉스네 후아드를 포함한 CE 4세기부터 5세기까지 로마 유적지대에서 발견되었다.

코클레아라는 단어는 문자 그대로 나선형이나 달팽이 껍데기를 뜻하는 것으로, 많은 사람들이 숟가락이 껍질에서 달팽이나 꼬막을 추출하는 데 사용될 수 있도록 설계되었다는 결론을 내리게 한다.[2]

로마 용어의 달팽이관, 달팽이관, 달팽이관은 한 스푼의 액체를 나타낸다.[3]달팽이관도 달팽이를 잡아 먹을 수 있는 곳이었다.[2]
