찰스 에밀리우스 골드(Charles Emilius Gold, 1809년 1월 6일 ~ 1871년 7월 29일) 중장은 영국 육군 제65연대의 영국 장교였으며, 역사적으로 중요하나 제한된 능력을 지닌 예술가였다.[11][12]1809년[13][14] 1월 6일 영국 켄트주 울리치 커먼에서 태어났으며, 1828년 3월 28일 구입하여 65연대에서 커미션을 획득하였다.[15]
금은 1860년 10월 1일 소장으로 진급하여 뉴질랜드에서 현역병에서 물러났으며, 영국령 기아나, 바베이도스(1829년 12월 - 1833년 12월), 캐나다(1838년 9월 - 1841년 1월), 잉글랜드와 뉴질랜드(1847년 1월 - 1860년 1월)에서 32년간 복무하였다.그는 뉴질랜드에서 14년 동안 군대를 지휘했으며, 특히 제1차 타라나키 전쟁의 첫 교전 기간에는 더욱 그러했다.[16][17][12][14]

그와 그의 아내 엘리너는 13명의 자녀를 두었다.그들의 아들 중 한 명인 월터 켈빙턴 골드 (c 1847–1895)는 남호주 예술 협회의 존경받는 화가였고 비서였다.
