찰스 차람바(1971년 4월 27일 출생)는 짐바브웨 복음음악가로 짐바브웨 사도교 신앙선교교회(AFM)의 전직 목사다.그는 그때부터 교회를 시작했다.차람바의 앨범은 2000년대 초부터 짐바브웨에서 가장 많이 팔린 복음음악이다.[1][2][3]그는 영국과 미국, 그리고 남부 아프리카를 순회했다.[4]차람바의 가장 유명한 노래 중 하나는 "마치라 체테"[2][5]이다.그의 아내 올리비아(네 마세코)도 복음가수로, 그와 함께 무대 위와 앨범에 출연하는 등 종종 '복음의 첫 가족'으로 불린다.[6]

조기생활과 교육

차람바는 현재 마쇼날란드 동부에 있는 무르지 구에서 태어났다.[4]그는 무찌에 있는 마사라쿠파 초등학교와 마사라쿠파 중등학교를 다니며 오레벨을 수료했다.[4]1998년 샤람바는 하라레 틴왈드의 리빙워터 성경대학에서 학업을 시작했고 그곳에서 신학 학사학위를 받았다.[4]복음음악 스타덤에 오른 후, 그는 대학으로 돌아왔고 2011년 짐바브웨 음악대학으로부터 "음악의 국가 인증서"를 받았다.[4]2013년에는 아프리카 대학에서 재즈 학사 학위를 받고 졸업했다.[7]

2004년 8월 차람바는 짐바브웨 농업개발은행(아그리반크)에서 은행원 세바스찬 무파와 함께 4000만 달러의 대출금 집행에 대한 사기 혐의로 기소돼 결국 100만 달러의 보석금이 확정됐다.[8][9]그러나 추가 조사 후에 그 혐의는 취하되었다.[10]

차람바의 복음음악은 선구라, 재즈, 지트의 요소를 담고 있다.[4][11]뒤로 눕히거나, 음바쿰바, 음한데와 같은 전통적인 비트와 함께 생생할 수 있다.[12]
