BFS(Bristol Free School, Bristol Free School)는 2011년 9월 영국 Bristol의 [1]Southmede에서 개교한 Secondary Academy이다.[2]

역사

Bristol Free School은 North Bristol에 적합한 중등학교 장소가 부족하다는 인식에 따라 20년 간의 학부모 캠페인 역사를 이어받아 제안되었다.[6][7][8][9]캠페인 단체인 어버이보이스는 스토크 로지의 성인 교육 센터 [11]또는 옛 St Ursula 학교 부지에 중등학교를 개교하여 인근에 주 중등학교가 없는 노스웨스트 브리스톨의 웨스트베리온트리엠, 스토크 비숍, 스니드 파크, 헨레즈 지역에 봉사하기를 원했다.[10][12]그러나 스토크 로지 인근 주민들은 개발을 원하지 않았고 [13]브리스톨 시의회는 현재 재건축 중인 초등학교에 세인트 우슐라의 E-ACT 아카데미를 사용하길 원했다.(2016년 9월 자료).[14]

동공모집

BFS는 150 학년 7학년에 150학년까지 150학년까지 개교하여 5학년(7~13학년)에 걸쳐 최대 750명의 학생을 수용할 수 있도록 제안되었다.[16]그러나 2011년 9월 개교 당시만 80명의 7학년 학생만 있었고, 예상 인원수의 감소는 현장 배치의 불확실성에 기인했다.[31][32]이후 7학년으로의 학생 모집은 증가했고 2013년 9월부터는 계속 초과 모집된 것으로 보고되었다.[33][34][35][36][37][38]2016년 9월에는 7학년 40명을 추가로 수용하여 그 학년 집단의 수를 190명으로 늘렸다.[4]2017년 9월부터는 공식적으로 7년차 공개 입학자 수를 200명으로 늘렸다.[39]

비판
