오스트레일리아의 생물자원 연구
Australian Biological Resources StudyABRS(Australian Biological Resources Study, ABRS)는 호주 환경, 물, 유산 및 예술부(DEWA)의 Parks Australia Division이 수행하는 프로젝트다.
배경
ABRS는 야생동물 보호에 관한 1972년 상원 선택 위원회의 권고사항으로 1973년에 설립되었다.[1][2]
그것의 목적은 많은 도서관, 박물관, 그리고 다른 수집품들로부터 수생종을 포함한 200만 종의 동식물들의 분류법을 수집하는 것이다.
이것들은 지구 생물 다양성의 거의 20%를 차지하며, 그 중 80%는 호주 고유의 것이다.ABRS는 호주의 생물다양성에 대한 분류학 연구에 대한 적극적인 자금후원을 수행해 왔으며, 광범위한 데이터 기반과 출판물로 국제적으로 인정받고 있다.

ABRS의 가장 중요한 산출물은 다권 호주[3] Flora와 Fauna 시리즈 호주의 출판물이었다.
다른 출력물로는 Banksia Atlas와 분류학자를 위한 "Platypus" 데이터베이스 패키지가 있다.
