아사 리옹(Asa Lyon, 1763년 12월 31일 ~ 1841년 4월 4일)은 미국의 정치인이다.그는 버몬트에서 미국 대표로 일했다.

전기

라이온은 코네티컷 식민지 퐁프레트에서 조나단 라이온과 레베카 맥슬리 라이온 사이에서 태어났다.그는 보통 학교에 다녔다.그는 1790년에 다트머스 대학을 졸업했다.[1]그는 코네티컷주 소머스에서 찰스 백커스 목사와 함께 신학생이었다.[2]리옹은 1792년 매사추세츠 선덜랜드에 있는 회교회의 목사로 임명되었다.[3]그는 1794년 버몬트 주의 사우스 히어로로 이주하여 법률을 공부하였다.리옹도 가정교사였고, 그의 제자 중에는 헤르만 R도 있었다. 훗날 버몬트 대법관을 지낸[4] 비어즐리

그는 1815년 3월 4일부터 1817년 3월 3일까지 제14대 미국 의회의 연방주의자 후보로 선출되었다.[9]

가정생활

라이온은 에스더 뉴웰 라이온과 결혼했다.그들에게는 에스더 라이온, 아비가일 라이온, 뉴웰 라이온이라는 세 아이가 있었다.[10]리옹은 스코틀랜드의 시인이자 작사가인 로버트 번즈의 제2인자로 생각되었다.[11][12]

죽음

리용은 1841년 4월 4일 사우스 히어로에서 사망했다.그는 버몬트 주의 그랜드 아일랜드 묘지에 매장되어 있다.[13][14]
