액세스 저작권 또한 저작권이 있는 자료가 없는 경우에도 저작권이 있는 정보에 대한 전자우편 링크를 대학에 청구하기 시작했다.그들은 이메일로 전송된 각 링크에 대해 전액을 청구하고 있다.[26]

2019년 말, 액세스 저작권은 캐나다 전역의 300개 학교에 지난 7년간 유인물과 수업 계획을 공급하도록 요구하는 법원 명령을 받았다.저작권 자료의 용도를 찾기 위한 요구는 '논리적 악몽'[27]으로 묘사되었다.
