Acalymma는 주로 신대륙에서 발견되는 딱정벌레의 한 속이다.서반구에서는 [1]약 72종이 설명되고 있다.
해충의 종류와 영향
미국에서는 주로 미시시피 강 동쪽에서 발견되는 줄무늬 오이 딱정벌레(Acalymma vittatum)와 미시시피 [2]강 서쪽에서 주로 발견되는 Acalymma trivittatum 두 종이 쿠쿠르비트의 주요 해충이다.성충은 어린 잎을 먹고 살며 애벌레는 뿌리를 [3]손상시킬 수 있다.A. vittatum 벡터 박테리아 wilt Erwinia traceiphila Holland (장내세균:엔테로박테리아과)는 식물의 줄기를 뚫고 [4]과즙을 빨아들인다.
