2019 AIHL 시즌은 호주 아이스하키 리그(AIHL)의 20번째 시즌이다.2019년 4월 20일부터 2019년 8월 25일까지 진행되었으며, 8월 31일과 9월 1일에 이어 구달컵 결승전이 개최되었다.CBR 브레이브는 정규시즌을 두 번째로 리그 사상 최다 득점으로 마친 뒤 H 뉴먼 리드 트로피를 거머쥐었다.시드니 베어스는 결승에서 퍼스 썬더스를 꺾고 구달컵을 세 번째로 우승했다.

리그 비즈니스

지난 1월 뉴캐슬 노스스타즈는 뉴캐슬 구조 및 컨설팅사와 3년간 명명권 계약을 체결했다.[2]전 지명권자인 프로스키는 더 낮은 수준에서 구단을 계속해서 후원할 것이다.[2]지난 3월 뉴캐슬 노스스타즈는 대체 로고를 특징으로 한 새로운 레드 컬러의 세 번째 저지 디자인을 공개했다.[3]로고는 5개의 뾰족한 별 위에 대문자 N으로 되어 있다.[3]3월 19일 애들레이드 아드레날린은 애자일 그룹과 명명권 계약에 서명했다.[4]이번 계약은 2019시즌에 시작해 2021시즌 말까지 진행된다.[4]3월 28일, CBR Brave가 호주 야구 리그에서 뛰고 있는 야구팀인 캔버라 기병대에 의해 인수되었다고 발표되었다.[5]올해 말 완전 소유권이 이전될 것으로 예상되는 가운데 기병 관리가 즉시 브레이브스의 운영을 인수했다.[5] 오브라이언 그룹은 2019년 4월 3일, 멜버른 경기장에 1,361개의 태양 전지판, 2개의 물탱크, 친환경 난방 시스템 등 업그레이드 완료를 발표했다.[6]새 시설은 400Kw의 전력을 발생시켜 경기장 전력 요금을 25% 절약할 수 있게 된다.[6]새로운 업그레이드의 완료를 기념하기 위해 경기장을 오브라이언 아이스하우스라고 개칭하여 경기장의 원래 명칭을 호출하고 인식하였다.[6]4월 19일 CBR 브레이브사는 시그널사와 명명권 계약에 서명했다.2019시즌을 위한 무선.[7]그 거래는 더 시그널사를 증가시킨다.Wireless의 후원 수준은 2018년 주요 스폰서였다.[7]5월 31일 멜버른 무스탕스가 호주에서 두 번째로 높은 여자 아이스하키 리그인 호주 여자 티어 2 쇼 케이스 시리즈의 멜버른 차저스와 제휴를 맺었다고 발표되었다.[8]

시범경기

3월 30일과 31일 멜버른 아이스에서는 하키 X 2019가 오브라이언 아이스하우스에서 개최되었다.[9]이전에 하키 축제로 알려진 하키 X는 CBR 브레이브, 멜버른 아이스, 멜버른 무스탕스, 퀸즐랜드의 올스타 팀이 포함되었다.[9]축제 첫날은 각 팀이 2일째에 플레이오프 장소를 결정하기 위해 라운드 로빈으로 승부를 겨루는 것을 보았다.[9]멜버른 무스탕스는 멜버른 아이스보다 3점 앞선 순위에서 라운드 로빈을 마무리했다.[9]CBR 브레이브는 3위, 퀸즐랜드 올스타즈는 꼴찌였다.[9]둘째 날에는 1, 2위 결승전, 3위 배치전 등 2경기가 포함됐다.[9]멜버른 무스탕스는 결승전에서 멜버른 아이스팀을 3-1로 꺾고 워리어 컵을 차지했고, CBR 브레이브스는 퀸즐랜드 올스타즈를 3-0으로 꺾고 3위에 올랐다.[9]4월 13일 멜버른 아이스와 멜버른 무스탕스는 오브라이언 아이스하우스에서 연례 평가전을 열었다.[10]무스탕스가 빙하를 4 대 2로 물리쳤다.[10]같은 날 아델라이드 아드레날린은 아드레날린이 4-3으로 이긴 남호주 올스타팀과 시범경기를 가졌다.[11]다음날 뉴캐슬 노스스타즈는 헌터 아이스 스케이팅 경기장에서 소속 구단인 뉴캐슬 노스 스타즈 ECSL과 연습 경기를 가졌다.Northstars가 경기에서 10 대 2로 이겼다.[12]

인원변경

11월 23일 멜버른 빙상연맹은 요한 슈틸렌버그의 작전국장직 서명을 발표했다.[13]슈텐버그는 CBR 브레이브에서 1년 만에 아이스버그로 돌아와 선수 개발 및 선수 인사 담당 이사로 활동했다.[13]스텐버그는 앞서 2014년부터 2017년까지 아이스사의 골키퍼 코치였다.[13]다음 달 멜버른 빙상연맹은 브래드 비건 호주 남자 대표팀 감독을 감독으로 선임했다.[14]비곤은 2018년 6월부터 이 역할을 맡았던 샌디 가드너 임시 감독 후임이다.[14]가드너는 이후 브렌트 라버, 글렌 마이어[15] 라버와 함께 지난 두 시즌 동안 개발 코치를 맡았고, 메이어는 2014년부터 2016년까지 아이스 코치를 맡아왔다.[15]12월 7일 AIHL은 롭 배너먼이 미국에서 경력으로 인해 위원직에서 물러났다고 발표했다.배너맨은 지난 6년간 그 자리에 있었다.[16]3월에 멜버른 아이스사는 마크 스미스를 총지배인 자리에 임명했다.[17]스미스는 현재 멜버른 아이스 여자 팀의 감독이다.[17]2월 28일 뉴캐슬 노스스타즈는 존 케네디가 선수 은퇴 후 감독으로 취임할 것이라고 발표했다.[18]케네디는 조 테리오와 레이 셰필드 코치로부터 도움을 받을 것이다.[18]4월 10일, CBR Brave는 전 리그 매그너스 선수인 맥스 로스의 코치직 계약을 발표했다.[19]

Goodall Cup playoffs

The 2019 playoffs are scheduled to begin on 31 August with the Goodall Cup final held on 1 September.[100] Following the end of the regular season the top four teams advance to the playoff series which is to be held at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium in Newcastle, New South Wales.[107] The series is a single game elimination with the two winning semi-finalists advancing to the Goodall Cup final.[100]

All-Star weekend

The 2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend was held at the International Convention Centre Sydney on 14 and 15 June 2019.[108] The format of the weekend is unchanged from 2018 with a skills competition on 14 June and an all-stars game on 15 June.[108] The teams however were re-aligned on a North/South basis.[109] Team North included players from the CBR Brave, Newcastle Northstars, Sydney Bears and Sydney Ice Dogs.[109] Team South included players from the Adelaide Adrenaline, Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs and Perth Thunder.[109] Sydney Bears' Michael Schlamp and Perth Thunder's Jamie Woodman were initially announced as the team captains for Team North and Team South respectively.[109] Schlamp was later replaced by Brian Funes of the Sydney Bears due to injury.[110] The Sydney Bears' Ron Kuprowsky was named as Team North coach and Perth Thunder's David Ruck as coach of Team South.[109] The weekend ran alongside the 2019 Ice Hockey Classic, an exhibition series featuring players from Canada and the United States.[108]

The skills competition, originally organised for Friday 14 June was cancelled along with the Ice Hockey Classic match between the United States and Canada.[111] As such, a cut down version of the skills competition involving just two of the originally planned events was contested on Saturday 15 June before the start of the 2019 All-Stars match. Jesse Gabrielle of the CBR Brave won the fastest skater competition. Danick Gauthier of the Sydney Bears won the hardest shot competition. Team North defeated Team South 11-9 in the All-Stars match and Perth Thunder's Keven Veilleux claimed the Mick McCormack Cup after being named the most valuable player.[112]
