웨스트맘프루시 의회는 가나 북동부 지역의 6개 구 중 하나이다.[2]원래 1988년 옛 남루시 구의회에서 만들어진 서남루시 지구로 알려진 당시 일반구의회로 조성되어 2012년 6월 28일 서남구-무아구리 구를 조성하기 위해 서남구가 분리될 때까지 나머지 부분은 서남루시 지구로 유지되어 왔다.그러나 2018년 3월 15일 시의회 지위로 승격되어 웨스트맘프루시 시군이 되었다.시군은 북동부 서부에 위치하고 있으며 월레웨일을 수도로 두고 있다.시의회 내의 다른 정착지로는 울구구가 있다.

지리

시군은 0°35'W, 1°45'W, 위도 9°55'N, 10°35'N 내에 위치한다.총면적 2610.44km이다2.

It shares boundaries with East Mamprusi Municipal and Gushegu Municipal to the east; North Gonja District, Savelugu Municipal and Kumbungu District to the south; Builsa North District, Kassena-Nankana Municipal and Bolgatanga Municipal (Upper East Region) to the north and; to the west, Mamprusi Moagduri District.

인구

2010년 인구주택총조사에 따른 자치구 인구는 12만1,117명으로 남성은 5만9,566명, 여성은 6만1,551명이다.[3]

역사

20개 구가 생기기 전인 1988년 서맘프루시 구는 가나의 지방분권과 지방정부 개혁 정책에 따라 만들어진 48개 구의 일부였다.[2]그 지역은 북부 지방의 옛 감바가 구에서 조각되었다.

위치

이 지역의 행정수도는 타말레에서 109km(68mi) 떨어진 타말레-볼가탕가 도로를 따라 위치할 수 있다.It is bordered to the north by Builsa, Kasena-Nankana and Bolgatanga Districts, in the Upper East Region; to the south by North Gonja, Karaga, Kumbungu and Savelugu Districts in the Northern Region; to the west by the Sissala East and Wa East Districts; and to the East by East Mamprusi Municipal Assembly.[2][4]
