Trenton Computer Festival

1976년에 창립된 트렌턴 컴퓨터 페스티벌(TCF라고도 함)은 세계에서 가장 오래된 개인용 컴퓨터 쇼다.[1][2]이 박람회는 개인용 컴퓨터 취미 생활자들을 위한 첫 번째 주요 박람회로 여겨진다.[3][4]

1976년 뉴저지의 아마추어 컴퓨터 그룹(ACGNJ)의 지원을 받아 솔 리브스와 앨런 캣츠에 의해 트렌턴 주립대학(현 뉴저지 대학)에서 설립되었다.[5][6]초창기 행사는 약 1,500명의 관중을 끌어 모았으며, 강연, 벤더 테이블, 야외 컴퓨터 시장 등이 마련되었는데, 모두 아마추어 컴퓨터 취미생을 겨냥한 것이었다.[7]

1992년까지는 머서 카운티 커뮤니티 칼리지로 옮겼고,[8] 1999년까지는 뉴저지 주 에디슨에 있는 뉴저지 컨벤션 및 엑스포 센터로 옮겨갔다.[9]1988년 경에는 주말마다 약 3만 명의 참석자가 정점을 찍었으나 2003년에는 주말 내내 약 1만 명으로 줄었다.[10]2005년 TCF는 창립 30주년을 기념하기 위해 뉴저지 대학으로 돌아왔다.[11]2015년, 이 행사는 40주년을 맞았다.[2]2020년에는 뉴저지 주의 COVID-19 대유행과 관련된 제약으로 인해 축제가 취소되었다.[12]2021년 행사는 사실상 열렸다.[13]
