토르 CD
Thor-CDThor-CD는 1988년 [1]탠디가 제안한 재녹음 가능한 CD 형식이다.
기록 가능한 콤팩트 디스크가 출시되기 몇 년 전, 탠디사는 Thor-CD라는 [2]이름의 비슷한 CD 형식을 발표했지만, 몇 년 동안 미뤄진 후, 결국 엄청난 제조 [3]비용으로 인해 취소되었다.
탠디가 새로운 포맷을 제안했을 때 CD는 주로 디지털 음악용으로 사용되었지만 다른 디지털 데이터에는 사용되지 않았다.탠디는 새로운 포맷으로 이것을 바꾸는 것을 목표로 했다.
그러나 탠디의 제안과 양립할 수 없는 CD-ROM 포맷의 도입은 탠디의 제품을 거의 죽게 만들었다.
