TV 불상 조각

TV 부처는 백남준이 1974년에 처음 제작한 비디오 조각품이다.[1][2]이 작품에서 불상은 TV 화면에서 자신의 모습을 본다.화면의 이미지는 불상에서 훈련된 생생한 비디오 카메라에 의해 제작된다.[3][4][5]

이 작품은 1974년 뉴욕주 보니노 갤러리에서 열린 전시회의 공백을 메우기 위해 제작됐다.[6][7]백씨는 뉴욕의 Canal 거리에 있는 18세기 불상을 구입했었다.[8]

컬렉션

이 작품은 1977년 암스테르담 스테델리크 박물관에 의해 박물관 소장용으로 처음 구입되었다.[9][10]백씨는 이 작품의 연작본을 제작했다.1976년 버전의 이 작품은 호주 뉴사우스웨일즈 미술관 소장품이다.[11]2004년 판은 하버드 대학의 포그 박물관에 의해 개최된다.[12]
