레이 베첼
Ray Bethell
레이 베첼(Ray Bethell, 1928년 3월 1일 ~ 2018년 12월 18일)은 캐나다 브리티시 컬럼비아 주 밴쿠버에 거주하던 전문 연날리기사였다.그는 세 개의 스턴트 연을 동시에 날리는 것과 관련된 여러 개의 지구력 세계 기록을 보유하고 있다. 각 손과 엉덩이에서 한 개씩.그는 같은 기법을 사용하여 여러 겹의 연을 날릴 수 있다(총 39개의 연까지).베델은 1991년부터 국제 연 축제에서 그의 기량을 뽐내며 광범위하게 여행해왔다.[1]
그는 밴쿠버 영화학교의 맷 니의 다큐멘터리 단편영화 '좋은 물건'의 주제가 되어 2005년 뉴욕 트리베카 영화제에서 1위를 차지했다.[2]
2006년 10월 캐나다 브리티시 컬럼비아주 밴쿠버에 있는 레이의 집 비행장 바니에 파크에서 기념 벤치가 공개됐다.이 프로젝트는 토론토의 Michelle Welsford와 Gary Mark에 의해 시작되었고 2006년 1월에 이 벤치를 위한 기금을 모으기 위한 국제적인 캠페인이 시작되었다.
