푸토

푸토이드과(Putoidae)는 거대한 몰리벅이나 푸토이드로[citation needed] 흔히 알려진 비늘벌레의 일종이다. 아마 60여 종을 포함하는 하나의 속인 푸토가 있을 것이다.[1] 매크로세로코쿠스라는 속칭도 사용되었으나 현재는 푸토의 동의어로 간주되고 있다.[2] 푸토속은 이전에는 파조개과의 일원으로 분류되었지만,[3] 나머지 파조개과와는 매우 큰 차이가 있어 파조개과에 속하게 되었다.[4][5]

호스트

거대한 연체동물들은 다양한 종류의 숙주에서 발생하는데, 각 종은 특정한 숙주를 가지고 있다. 숙주 식물은 일반적으로 침엽수, 풀, 다양한 나무 관목을 포함한다. 그 공장의 모든 부분이 들끓을 수 있다.[2]

설명

다 자란 암컷은 타원형이고 길이가 5밀리미터에 달하며 가루 같은 흰 왁스 덩어리에 가려져 있다. 왁스를 제거하면 몸 윗면에 두 개의 세로 검은 줄무늬가 보이고 왁스샘이 크고 눈에 띈다. 다리와 더듬이가 잘 발달되어 있고 어두운 색이다.[2]

라이프 사이클

일반적으로 암컷에는 4개의 인자가 있고 수컷에는 5개의 인자가 있다. 많은 종에서 매년 한 세대가 존재하며 첫 번째 시초는 월동 단계다.[2] 그러나 푸토산디니는 수명주기를 마치는데 4년이 걸린다.[6]
