PhoneFactor

PhoneFactor는 전화를 이용해 신원을 확인하는 다요소 인증 시스템이다.[1][2]PhoneFactor는 다중 Out-of-Band 방식(전화 통화, 문자 메시지, 푸시)과 선서 암호 옵션을 통해 사용자에게 유연성을 제공하고 IT가 관리할 수 있는 단일 다요소 플랫폼을 제공한다.[3]

PhoneFactor는 팀 서튼과 스티브 디스펜사에 의해 2001년에 Positive Networks Inc.로 설립되었다.[4]PhoneFactor 제품은 2007년에 Positive Networks에 의해 출시되었고,[5] 2009년에 PhoneFactor Inc.로 이름을 바꾸었다.[4][6] 2012년 10월 4일, 마이크로소프트가 PhoneFactor를 인수하였고,[7] PhoneFactor 서비스는 현재 Azure Multi-Factor Authentication으로 이용할 수 있다.온프레미스 애플리케이션과 ID를 확보하는 것 외에도, 이 서비스는 이제 Windows Azure Active Directory를 사용하는 Office 365와 같은 클라우드 애플리케이션과도 작동한다.
