옥시클린(OxiClean)은 미국계 생활청소기 브랜드로, 체스트앤드와이트가 판매하는 세탁첨가물, 얼룩제거제, 가정용청소기 등이 있다.[1][2]과거 오렌지글로 인터내셔널이 1997년 도입해 2006년 인수할 때까지 소유했던 회사다.
역사
1997년 오렌지글로인터내셔널이 선보였을 때 미국과 캐나다에서 빌리 메이스와 함께 인포머셜을 통해 2000년부터 '기적의 클렌저'로 시판됐다.[3]Church & Dwight는 2006년 Orange Glo International 인수를 통해 OxiClean 브랜드(Orange Glo 등 여러 브랜드와 함께)를 인수했고, 이때 OxiClean 브랜드가 OxiClean 세제 볼의 도입으로 세탁세제로 확대된 데 이어 2014년에는 OxiClean 액상 세탁세제까지 진출했다.그것은 2009년 그가 사망할 때까지 메이스에 의해 계속해서 승인되었다; 그 제품은 현재 메이스의 친구이자 동료인 앤서니 설리번에게 2009년 이후로 보증된 것으로 보인다.메이스와 설리번은 이 제품이 여러 차례 소개된 디스커버리 채널의 피치맨 쇼에 출연했다.
설명
OxiClean의 활성 성분 중 하나가 과탄산나트륨(NaCO23•)이다.HO22, 탄산나트륨(NaCO23)과 과산화수소(HO22)[3]의 첨가물.이것은 물에 녹으면 과산화수소로 분해된다.이 성분들은 환경에서 안전하게 분해되고 독성이 있는 부산물을 남기지 않는다.[4]
관련 제품으로는 OxiClean OxiClean 세탁물 얼룩제거기, OxiClean MaxForce Spray, OxiClean Power Paks, OxiClean Triple Power Stain Fighter, OxiClean White Reserve, OxiClean Baby Stain Soaker 등이 있다.[5]클로록스 컴퍼니는 경쟁 제품인 클로록스 2를 보유하고 있는데, 이 제품에는 비슷한 성분을 가지고 있지만 과산화지질을 과산화지질산을 과산화지질산(peroxyacetic acid, 또는 PAA)으로 변환하는 활성제 TAED(tetraacetylethylenediamine)도 포함되어 있다.[6]또 다른 경쟁제품인 비즈 세탁 부스터는 유기농 얼룩을 없애기 위해 효소를 첨가했고, 어떤 상황에서는 OxiClean을 능가한다고 주장한다.[7]

OxiClean® is a Versatile Stain Remover in a powder form that is activated when added to water (warm or hot water work best).
