밀드레드 가르시아

Mildred García

밀드레드 가르시아는 워싱턴 D.C.에 있는 미국 주립대학협회(AASCU)의 현 회장이다.[1]

초년기

가르시아는 뉴욕 브루클린에서 태어나 자랐다.[2]그녀는 1세대 대학생이다.

교육

García earned an A.A.S. from New York City Community College, a B.S. in Business Education from Baruch College, City University of New York, a M.A. in Business Education/Higher Education from New York University; an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University; and a Doctor of Education degree, also from Columbia.[1]

경력

가르시아는 애리조나 주립대, 몽클레어 주립대, 펜실베이니아 주립대 등에서 학업을 맡았다.교사 대학, 컬럼비아 대학, 그리고 Hostos, LaGuardia 및 City College of City University of New York.[1][3]

Garcia는 2001년에 버클리 대학의[4] 첫 번째 시스템 전반의 총장이 되었고 2007년까지 재직했다.[5]2007년부터 12년까지 가르시아는 CSU 도밍게스 힐즈의[5] 총장으로 캘리포니아 주립대학 제11대 여성 총장이자 최초의 라티나 총장을 역임했다.[6]2012년부터 18년까지 그녀는 CSU 풀러턴의 회장직을 맡았다.[5]

Garcia는 현재 워싱턴 D.C.에 본부를 둔 400개의 공립 대학, 대학 및 시스템으로 이루어진 고등 교육 협회의 회장이다; 그녀는 2018년 1월 22일 공식적으로 그녀의 자리를 시작했다.[7]
