Mathical Magazine은 미국수학협회의 격월간 간행물이다. 그 대상 청중들은 특히 3학년/3학년 수준의 대학 수학 교사들과 그들의 학생들이다. 그것은 교육학이라기보다는 분명히 수학에 관한 저널이다. 연구저널의 '테오렘 방지(theorem-proof)' 방식의 기사보다는 예시, 응용, 삽화, 역사적 배경 등 그들이 전달하는 수학의 맥락을 제공하는 기사를 찾는다.[2] 2008년 유료부수는 9,500부, 총부수는 10,000부였다.[3]
수학잡지는 수학뉴스레터(1926~1934)와 국립수학잡지(1934~1945)의 연속이다.[4] 도리스 샤츠슈나이더는 1981년 수학잡지의 첫 여성 편집자가 되었다. [5][6]
MAA는 Carl B에게 주어진다. 앨렌도서퍼 어워드는 매년 수학잡지에 게재되는 "논문초록 우수 기사용"이다.[7]
