마사 스퍼리어

마사 스퍼리어(Martha Spurrier, 1986년 출생)는 영국의 법정 변호사 겸 인권 운동가다. 그녀는 샤미 차크라바티의 뒤를 이어 자유 옹호 단체의 이사다.^[1]

초년기

스퍼리어는 런던의 고돌핀과 라티머 학교에서 교육을 받았고, 그 후 케임브리지의 에마뉘엘 칼리지에서 역사상 BA(Hons)로 졸업했다.^[1]^[2] 그녀는 시티 대학교 런던에서의 법 전환 과정을 밟았고, 그 후 BPP 대학교의 바 전문 훈련 과정을 밟았다.^[2]

리버티로 합류하기 전, 스퍼리는 도티 스트리트 챔버스에서 변호사로서 일했고, 그 중 그녀는 부차적인 세입자로 남아있다.^[2] 그녀는 2016년 5월 말에 새 직책을 맡았다.^[3]

스퍼리에 씨는 2018년 7월 고등법원에서 수사권법에 도전해 ISPA협의회로부터 제20회 ISPA^{[a 1]} 연례 시상식에서 영웅상을 받았다.^[4]
