코딜레라 데 나후엘부타의 서쪽 경사면에 위치하고 있으며, 행정적으로 북쪽으로는 콘툴모 공사와 남쪽으로는 티루아 공사로 나뉜다.면적은 4300ha이다.칠레 당국에 의해 라틴아메리카에서 가장 순수한 호수로 선언되었다.[3]그것의 물은 고요하고 바다와 연결되어 있다.
