로런스 콘래드

로렌스 어빈 콘래드(Lawrence Irvin Conrad, 1949년 출생)는 근동의학의 역사가다.

교육과 경력

콘래드는 프린스턴 대학교에서 박사학위를 받아 1981년 중세 초기의 근동 지역의 페스트에 관한 논문을 완성했다.^[1] 미국 베이루트 대학교에서 잠시 근무한 후, 1985년 런던 대학교 의과대학의 웰컴 의학사 연구소로 옮겼다.^[2] 2001년 함부르크 대학교로 옮겨 2008년 은퇴할 때까지 남아 있었다.^[3] 콘라드는 중세 근동 사회사, 아랍어와 이슬람 의학, 아랍어, 그리스어, 시리아어 역사학에 관한 연구로 유명하다.^{[citation needed]}
