Ira D. GruberIra D. Gruber(Ira D. Gruber, 1934년 1월 6일 출생)는 미국의 작가, 서지학자, 그리고 미국 혁명의 군사 역사학자다.
사생활
Ira D. Gruber는 1934년 1월 6일 펜실베이니아 주 필라델피아에서 태어나 펜실베이니아 주 포츠타운에서 자랐다.그는 듀크 대학에 다녔고 미국 해군 예비군에서 복무했다.1955년부터 1957년까지 그는 USS Wiltsie호에서 암호 보안관 직책을 맡았다.[1]
경력
그루버는 1961년 박사학위를 받은 후 듀크에서 교수가 되었다.그는 후에 미국 초기 역사문화연구소 동료, 오시덴탈 칼리지의 역사학과 조교수, 해리스 매스터슨 주니어 교수, 그리고 이후 (2009년부터[2]) 라이스 대학의 역사학과 명예교수직을 역임했다.[3][4]
그루버는 오랜 교직생활 동안 미국 군사사, 특히 미국혁명을 주제로 한 여러 작품을 출간했다.책과 미국 혁명 시대의 영국 육군은 혁명 기간 동안 군 장교들이 읽은 책들과 이 책들이 그들의 기술과 결정에 어떤 영향을 미쳤을지 검토한다.또 다른 책인 하우 브라더스와 미국 혁명은 하우 브라더스가 미국에서 영국 정부를 복원하지 못한 것에 대해 다루고 있다.
