인터스위치는 라고스에 본사를 둔 나이지리아의 지역 금융 서비스 회사다. 2002년에 설립된 아프리카 중심의 통합 공중전화 판매업체로서 디지털 결제 회사로 이전한 회사는 설립자인 미첼 엘레브(Mitchell Elegbe) 밑에서 찬사를 받았다.

역사

인터스위치 회사는 2002년 미첼 엘레브에 의해 설립되었으며 아프리카 중심의 통합 디지털 결제 및 상업 회사로 계속되었다.[2]

2010년에는 이 회사의 3분의 2가 헬리오스투자파트너스가 이끄는 컨소시엄에 매각되었다.[3][1] 2011년 인터스위치는 우간다의 뱅크롬 지분을 60%나 차지했다.[1]

2013년에 Interswitch는 Discover Financial Services와 지불 처리 계약을 체결했다.[4]

2014년 9월 동-아프리카 결제 업체인 페이넷 그룹의 지분 과반수를 취득했다.[5]

2015년 인터스위치는 아프리카계 신생기업을 위한 1000만 달러 규모의 결제분야 투자펀드를 출범시켰다.[6]

인터스위치는 2018년 2월 나이지리아에서 과학, 기술, 공학, 수학의 우수성을 홍보하고 시상하는 SPAK 전국과학경진대회를 공개했다.[7]

영업 및 자회사

인터스위치 회사는 공통의 아프리카 금융 서비스 제공 업체로서 설립되었으며, 아프리카에 광범위한 상호연결 데이터 센터를 독점적으로 유지하고 있다.[8] 이 회사는 네트워크에 11,000개가 넘는 ATM을 보유하고 있으며, 나이지리아에는 그 어느 곳보다 많은 사용자들이 있다.[3]

버브, 결제카드 산업은 인터스위치의 또 다른 자회사다.[8] 베르베는 케냐에서도 발사되었다.[9]

인터스위치는 또 당초 텔레커뮤니케이션 공중전화 판매업체로 거론되던 퀵텔러를 추가로 소유하고 있어 결제 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

인터스위치 시스템은 일반적인 브랜드 혁신으로서 정교한 상호 연결 보안과 방화벽을 배치한다. [10][11][12]

퀵텔러는 2020년 10월 나이지리아 3차 교육기관에서 온 50명의 우수한 학생들로 구성된 커뮤니티인 큐트리베 커뮤니티를 발족해 캠퍼스에서 퀵텔러와 인터스위치의 홍보대사로 활동했다.[13][14]
