인텔리플래시는 플래시 스토리지 어레이를 제조하는 산호세 소재 DDN(DataDirect Networks) 브랜드다. 당시 테길시스템즈로 알려진 이 회사는 웨스턴디지털이 2017년[1], DDN이 2019년 9월 인수한 회사다.[2]
역사
Tegile Systems는 2010년 Rohit Kshetrapal, Rajesh Nair, Justin Cheen, Alok Agrawal에 의해 설립되었다.[3] 2012년 2월, 테질레는 제비라는 제품군을 발표하면서 스텔스 모드에서 나왔다.[4]
2013년 메리텍캐피털파트너스가 주도한 3,200만 달러 투자에는 샌디스크벤처스의 알렉스 램이 이끄는 기업 벤처캐피털 투자가 포함됐다.[5] 2015년 5월에는 7000만 달러의 투자금이 발표되었으며, 추가 투자자인 Capricorn Investment Group, Cross Creek Advisors, Pine River Capital Management가 발표되었다.[6]
2015년 말까지, Tegile은 360명으로 추산된다.[7] 웨스턴디지털은 2017년 테길 시스템을[1] 인수한 뒤 인텔리플래시로 브랜드를 변경했다.[8] 웨스턴디지털은 2019년 9월 인텔리플래시를 DDN에 판매했다.[9]
기술
테가일은 기본 데이터와는 별도로 메타데이터를 고속 솔리드 스테이트 디스크에 저장하는 방식인 인텔리플래시 메타데이터 가속이라고 하는 것을 개발했다.[10] 일부 경쟁업체는 님블 스토리지와 틴트리(Tintri)로 주목받는다.[4][11]
