The Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands was formed on January 1, 2011 through a merger of the Institute of Dutch History (Dutch: 'Instituut voor Nederlandse Geschiedenis', ING) a research institute of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, and the Huygens Instituut of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (1808년 설립) 이 연구소는 네덜란드 암스테르담, 스핀후이스 빌딩에 위치해 있다.

Huygens ING는 디지털 인문학에서 나온 새로운 방법과 기법의 도움으로 과거의 텍스트와 출처를 연구한다.[1] 이 연구소는 연구 방법론의 혁신을 주도하고 있으며, 네덜란드 문화와 역사에 대한 이해를 넓히고 있다.

이 연구소는 약 100명의 연구원, 조수, 프로그래머, 보조 직원을 고용하고 있다.

Historici.nl은 역사학자와 일반 대중을 위한 네덜란드의 역사에 관한 독립된 웹사이트다.[2] 이 플랫폼은 네덜란드 역사 연구소와 왕립 네덜란드 역사학회가 지원하고 있다.[2][3] 이 웹사이트는 역사학자들을 위한 낡고 새로운 자료들을 공개하는데 그렇지 않으면 대중들이 이용할 수 없을 것이다. 이용 가능한 주제는 네덜란드의 과학, 문학, 인문, 정치 기관들에 관한 것이다.[citation needed]
