맨체스터 카운티(County of Manchester)는 오스트레일리아 사우스 오스트레일리아 주에 위치한 지적 소유 부대로서, 에레 반도의 북동쪽과 반도 북쪽에 위치한 땅을 모두 커버하고 있다.1891년 선포되었고, rt혼의 장인이었던 6대 맨체스터 공작 조지 몬타구의 이름을 따서 명명되었다. 킨토레 GCMG 백작, 당시 남호주 주지사.

설명

맨체스터 카운티는 스펜서 걸프만이 내려다보이는 에이어 반도 동쪽 해안과 부분적으로 연관된 남부 오스트레일리아의 일부를 차지하고 있으며, 그 부분은 바로 북쪽에 육지가 있고 해안선에서 약 56km(35mi) 떨어진 내륙에 걸쳐 있다.[2]한반도의 북쪽 경계선이 동서로 군을 통과하기 때문에 그 범위의 남부는 에레 반도 내에 있다.서쪽으로는 호레 루스벤 군, 남쪽으로는 요크 군, 동쪽으로는 뉴캐슬 군과 스펜서 걸프 군과 경계를 이룬다.[2][6][5][1]

정착지로는 카운티의 서쪽에 위치한 아이언 노브와 스펜서 걸프(북쪽에서 남쪽으로)와 해안선에 위치한 다음과 같은 교외 및 지역들이 포함된다. - 포트 오거스타 도시 지역인 포트 오거스타 웨스트, 커미사리아 포인트, 블랑쉬 하버, 더글러스 포인트, 더글러스 포인트 남부의 일부다.[2]

카운티는 오거스타항에서 북쪽으로 이어지는 스튜어트 고속도로, 서쪽으로 통과하는 에이어 고속도로, 남쪽으로 지나가는 링컨 고속도로, 그리고 부분적으로 카운티의 남쪽에 위치한 철 노브와 와왈라 사이에 있는 철노브 도로가 운행한다.[2][7]

다음 철도 노선은 다윈과 퍼스로 가는 도중에 북쪽으로 이동하는 오스트레일리아 횡단 철도, 와일라의 종착역까지 남쪽으로 이동하는 와일라 철도, 그리고 철노브와 와일라 사이를 운행하는 철도의 일부를 통과한다.[2]

군내 토지 이용에는 방목, 채굴 등 1차 산업활동과 컬타나 훈련구역으로 알려진 군사훈련지역이 포함된다.[8][9][10]

역사

맨체스터 카운티는 1891년 5월 21일 수백 명의 카스티네, 코플리, 한디사이드와 함께 선포되었다.[1]

이 카운티는 알제논 키스 팔코너 9대 백작, 장인인 조지 몬타구 맨체스터 공작의 이름을 따서 남호주 주지사가 지명한 것이다.[11]

1891년 카스티네, 코플리, 한디사이드, 1892년 젠킨스, 1893년 길렌 등 수백 명이 카운티 내에서 선포되었다.[12]

젠킨스 백작

더 백 오브 젠킨스 (32°46′46″S 137°4)1′46″E / 32.779470°S 137.696040°E / -32.779470; 137.696040(Jenkins 수백)은 1892년 1월 28일에 선포되었다.면적은 400평방킬로미터(154평방미터)이며, 남호주 의회 의원 출신인 J G 젠킨스의 이름을 따서 이름이 지어졌다.[17]그 범위는 블랑쉬 하버와 더글러스 포인트의 지역, 컬타나와 더글러스 포인트 남부의 지역 일부를 포함한다.[2]
