HD 1185는 안드로메다 북쪽 별자리에 있는 이중 별이다[8]. 1차 항성은 겉보기 규모 6.15의 스펙트럼 타입 A1Si의 흰색 주계열성으로,[3] 평소보다 실리콘 흡수선이 강하여 Ap 별이기도 하다. 9.08아크초 떨어져 있는 2차 동반자는 겉보기 규모 9.76으로 육안으로는 보이지 않으며, A형 별이기도 하다. 그것은 1차[7] 항성과 적절한 움직임과 시차를 공유하지만 궤도 매개변수는 여전히 알려져 있지 않다.
