길드홀(Guildhall)은 영국 서머셋 주 배스 중심부에 있는 18세기 시립 건물이다. 그것은 1등급 건물이다.[1]
역사
여기서 길드홀에 대한 최초의 언급은 1359년이었다.[2] 이것은 1625년에 거의 같은 사이트에 있는 자코반 길드홀로 대체되었다.[3] 이 건물은 1725년 윌리엄 킬리그루에 의해 설계로 상당히 확장되었고, 이후 얀 침례교 판 디에스트의 특별 위탁 그림 시리즈가 전시되었다.[3]
토마스 볼드윈이 설계한 현재의 배스 석조 건물은 1775년에서 1778년[1] 사이에 지어졌고 1893년 존 매킨 브라이던이 증축했다.[1] 중앙의 정면에는 4개의 이오닉 기둥이 있고 건물은 정의의 형상으로 덮여 있다. 중앙돔과 남북날개는 1893년에[1] 증축되어 빅토리아 아트 갤러리와 인접하는 건물을 형성하고 있으며, 이 역시 비슷한 시기에 지어졌다.[4]
길드홀은 1972년 4월 25일 화재로 상당한 피해를 입었다.[5] 내부에는 코린트식 기둥과 18세기 샹들리에, 왕실 초상화가 걸려 있는 연회장이 있다. 이 방은 왕실 방문 시 사용된다. 엘리자베스 2세 여왕은 2002년 5월에 연회실에서 점심을 먹었다.[6]
이 건물에는 현재 배스 및 노스이스트 서머셋 협의회 회의실과 배스 및 노스이스트 서머셋 등록 사무소가 있으며, 이 건물에는 결혼식 장소로도 사용되며, 기록 보관소에는 배스 및 노스 이스트 서머셋 기록 보관소와 지역 연구 서비스도 있다.[7][8][9] 길드홀은 또한 배스 국제 음악 축제와 다른 문화 행사를 위한 장소의 한 역할을 한다. <크리스틴 킬러의 재판>(2019년) 등 시대극과[10] 미니시리즈 촬영에 활용됐다.[11]
배스 길드홀 시장
배스 길드홀 마켓은 길드홀 뒤편에 있으며, 길드홀을 통해 자체 입구 터널로 접근할 수 있다. 그것은 지난 800년 동안 그것의 부지에서 거래되어 왔다. 요즘 20여 명의 노점상들이 그곳에서 거래하고 있다.[12]
