그레그 산키

Greg Sankey

그레그 산키(Greg Sankey, 1964년[1] 출생)는 사우스이스트 컨퍼런스의 의장이다. 그는 이전에 SEC에 13년간 다양한 자격으로 고용되었다. 그 이전에 그는 사우스랜드 회의의 위원이었다.[2][3]

조기생활과 교육

샌키는 텍사스[6] 주 롱뷰에 있는 르투르뉴 칼리지에서 공학 전공으로 대학을 시작했지만 곧 뉴욕으로 돌아왔다. 그는 1987년 카유가 커뮤니티 칼리지에서 동료의 학위를, 뉴욕 주립대학에서 교육학 학사 학위를 취득했다.[5][7] 우티카 칼리지에서 교내 스포츠 감독으로 일하던 중 1993년 시러큐스 대학 교육대학원에서 교육학 석사 학위를 취득했다.[5][8]

경력

Sankey는 Utica College에서 교내 스포츠 감독으로 경력을 쌓기 시작했다.[9] 샌키는 루이지애나주 내치토시에 있는 노스웨스턴 주립대학 체육학과에서 1년간의 인턴십을 마친 후 그곳에서 컴플라이언스 디렉터로 채용되었다. 그는 또한 이 대학의 골프팀들을 2년 동안 지도했고 1992년까지 그곳에서 일했다.[10][11]

Sankey는 1992년에 Southland Conference에 참가하여 규정 준수 문제에 대한 작업을 계속했고, 결국 1996년에 위원장으로 취임했다.[12]

사생활

샌키는 1988년 11월 뉴욕에서 아내 캐시와 결혼했다.[6] 이들은 앨라배마주 버밍엄에 거주하며 성인 딸 2명을 두고 있다.[14] Sankey는 열렬한 마라토너로 41번의 마라톤을 뛰었다.[15]
