Fourth umpire

네 번째 심판은 크리켓 심판이다[1]. 모든 국제 경기의 경우, 네 번째 심판은 새로운 공을 들여오거나, 심판을 위해 운동장에 음료를 싣고 오거나, 광도계에 배터리를 넣고 점검하거나, 점심시간과 차간격으로 간섭이 없는지 살피거나,[2] 새로운 난간을 가져오는 등의 임무를 수행해야 한다.[3] 세 번째 심판은 세 번째 심판이 현장 업무를 인계받도록 규정되어 있기 때문에, 네 번째 심판은 현장 심판 중 한 명에게 무슨 일이 생기면 세 번째 심판 업무를 인계받게 된다.[4]

테스트 경기의 경우, 네 번째 심판은 지명된 선수로부터 ICC 심판의 국제 패널로 홈 측 이사회에 의해 임명되기 때문에 홈 쪽과 국적이 같다.[4] 2021년 1월 호주와 인도의 3차 테스트 경기에서 호주의 클레어 폴로삭은 네 번째 심판으로 남자 테스트 경기에서 주례를 맡은 첫 번째 여성이 되었다.[5]
