피시후크 강(Fish Hook River)의 철자도 피시후크 강(Fish Hook River)은 미국 미네소타 북부에 있는 셸 강의 지류다.이 강의 원천인 피쉬 후크 호수는 포르타지 강과 감자 강으로 알려진 짧은 지류를 수집한다.조개껍데기와 까마귀 날개의 강을 통해 피쉬 훅 강은 미시시피 강의 분수령 중 하나이다.이 강은 허버드 카운티 남서부에서 전 구간으로 흐르며, 그 분수령은 베커 카운티 북동쪽으로 뻗어 있다.[4]

그 이름은 강에 대한 오지브와 푸지다바니 피쉬 후크 호수의 이름을 번역한 것이다.[5]

지리

피쉬 훅 강은 파크 래피즈 시에서 시작되는 것으로 간주되며, 3km 길이의 피쉬 훅 강 저수지를 형성하는 댐으로, 강 위 급류 지점에 수력을 공급하기 위해 건설되었다.[1][5][6]Park Rapids에서 피쉬 훅 강은 토드, 스트레이트 리버, 허버드 마을을 남동쪽으로 흐르며 서쪽에서 스트레이트 강을 수집한다.허바드 타운쉽의 북쪽으로부터 쉘 강으로 흘러든다.[4]

피시 훅 강 저수지는 강 북쪽 분수령을 모은 피시 훅 호수에서 흘러 나온다.포티지 강과 감자 강은 각각 포티지 호와 감자 호수에서 호수로 짧은 거리를 흐른다.포테이토 레이크는 베커 카운티 북동쪽에서 흐르는 헤이 크릭을 모아 호수의 한 지역을 배수한다.[4][7][8][9][10][11][12]

피쉬 훅 강은 북부 호수와 숲 생태지온에 흐르는데, 이것은 평야와 평야까지 평탄하고 구르는 침엽수와 단단한 나무 숲이 특징이다.[13]강 어류 개체수는 유우커가 지배하고 있지만 월레예와 북방 어류도 존재한다.[14]
