에머 로빈슨은 샌디에이고 출신이다.[1]그는 1942년에 고등학교를 졸업했다.[2]로빈슨은 할렘 글로브트로터의 일원이었다.[3]로빈슨은 글로브트로터스가 레이커스를 이기자 승부수를 던졌다.[4]

로빈슨은 오클랜드 오크스의 감독이자 미국 농구 리그인 시카고 메이저스의 총감독이었다.[5]그는 1962년 오클랜드의 코치였다.[6]그는 전쟁이 끝나자 미군과 글로브트로터스에 입대했다.[7]1983년 암으로 사망하였다.[7][1]
