대통령 의료 수석 고문은 미국 대통령 행정실 내의 직책이다. 트럼프 행정부 시절인 2019년 신설된 직책이다. 2020년 12월 4일, 국립 알레르기 및 전염병 연구소 소장인 앤서니 파우치가 바이든 행정부에서 역할을 할 것이라고 발표하였다.[1][2][3][4][5]
역할
2019년 2월 2일에는 로니 잭슨 전 대통령 주치의가 도널드 트럼프 대통령의 수석의료보좌관 겸 보좌관으로 발탁됐다.[6] 이 역할에서 잭슨이 맡은 업무에는 트럼프 대통령에게 공중보건 정책을 조언하는 내용이 포함됐다.[7] 잭슨은 2019년 말 백악관 집무실을 떠나 2020년까지 공석이었다. 바이든 행정부에서 포치는 COVID-19 대유행과 관련된 공중보건 정책에 대해 계속 조언하고 있다.[8]
