칸포스는 미국 아이오와 주 포웨시크 카운티에 있는 비법인 공동체다.[1]

역사

1884년 우체국이 마나트(Manatt)로 설립되었고, 두 달 만에 칸포스(Carnforth)[2]로 개칭하였다.칸포스 우체국은 1907년에 단종되었다.[3]철도청 관계자는 당시 읽고 있던 책에서 칸포스라는 이름을 골랐다.[4]칸포스의 인구는 1902년 33명,[5] 1925년 40명이었다.[6]
